This is my second time taking my daughter to this braiding salon. We have tried other braiding salons and the reviews are mixed. My daughter also braids hair, so she is picky; she is consistently happy with her hair. Nina and the other ladies are welcoming and professional.
Braids are done neat but do not last long at all. They braid soooo slow my wife and children go here but I recommend going to Nadine’s instead. Nadine’s hair braiding is MUCH MUCH faster you’re in and out within 2-3 hours max. Here at Nina’s Hair braiding you’ll spend most of your day there and the staff isn’t the nicest ladies. My family have been to Nadine’s three times and will be going back there from now on no more Nina’s sorry. Then they charge different prices for styles every visit.
I went here for the first time for something quick before vacation. I had half my on head braided with cornrows so I could just attach a half wig to the back. My head is quite small as is and I wasn’t getting a lot of braids so I thought cornrows in the front wouldn’t be bad. I was charged $100. I do think I was severely overcharged but I went on about my day. I referred my boyfriend to come here the next day to get his braided as well before our trip. I wanted to leave a review based on my personal experience. I see a lot of negative reviews. So I text the night before and was quoted $150 for medium waist length knotless braids. I was told they opened at 4am. I arrived around 4:10am and was helped immediately. They were kind and made sure I was satisfied. They often asked me to check in the mirror to make sure I loved it.
