Dr Bonnie Nickel has been a Pediatric Ophthalmologist since opening her doors in 1983 here in the Terra Linda neighborhood of San Rafael. We do accept adults (known as "Big Kids") up to age 65. Dr. Nickel has retired from Major surgeries so we are not the best choice if you have a cataract that needs to be removed. We do accept older patients and patients not of our specialties when we are On-Call for Emergency Eye Problems. As we are open in the afternoons please call us or leave a message, we will gladly return the call!

They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. She never has that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. I didn't have to wait very long before I was in with the doctor. She is very kind and caring, and she stays open past her closing time to help anyone who needs her. She wouldn't deny anyone that needed help. I know I can always count on Dr. Nickel--she is very knowledgeable and forthright.
