Hmm where do I start? This place has deteriorated significantly since I moved in. Due to poor management, there has been a mass exodus of people; this has led to a need to lower rents, and has brought in a much younger (partiers) crowd - if you want a chill place for (relatively) young professionals, this is not for you. It often smells like weed in the elevators and common areas. Also, the grills are constantly broken and one has to use a 'stick igniter' to get it going...this should be an interim fix, not the long-term sol... read more

This place has been an overall disappointment since I moved in. I will not be renewing my lease. The dimwitted individuals making the Covid-19 restrictions are very inconsistent and arbitrary with what one can and cannot do. The related communications are patronizing and clearly just CYA. Many other apt buildings in the area actually made smart decisions around usage of facilities to accommodate tenants...here at Niche it's just 'SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN - no ETA on openings, no concessions'. RecommendedOne of the main things that caught our eye when looking for apartments was the social events that are put on here at Niche 905. We moved from out of state and loved the idea of being social with the community of people we share a building with. We have not been disappointed; knowingly, Niche 905 has exceeded our expectations! A true "Niche", at the corners of the Gold Coast, Old Town, and River North..... I am still gobsmacked at the picturesque, 360-degree-views on our full-floor rooftop. Better yet, my unit's view feels like a postcard-image.... every morning, as the sun drenches my balcony warmly, greeting me with open arms :). I like the dog run. Got my own fire hydrant. The mail lady, Gabe & E hook me up with treats. And treats all over. Thats the important part. The treats. Keep em comin.
We have been here almost a month love it!!! Building/lobby have an inviting atmosphere and the security and management staff are nice and fun to interact as well as the residents. Look forward to many good times to come!!
