I am both outraged and extraordinarily disappointed with the NextCare location on Cypress Creek in Cedar Park. Early yesterday morning (Wednesday, May 1st), our son had bunion removal surgery. Our surgical team advised us that some post-surgical bleeding would be normal, and that we might see some soaking through the bandages, but if there was “a lot” of bleeding we should give them a call and then take him to a nearby urgent care to get it looked at. They collected $120 from me at the time of service. By the time they filed with insurance, we had met our deductible so only actually owe $18. Just called and they say it’ll take at least 30 days for them to receive payment from the insurance company so I need to “be patient”. What kind of business overcharges a customer and then refuses to refund money not owed? This is criminal and I will never, ever return.
I have a monthly subscription plan with them where I pay $30 month and then $35 a visit and every test or anything needed is covered. I have used them about 3-4 times. I have always had a great experience with them. Ranging from a dog bite to shingles they have always been on the money for a diagnosis and for the prescriptions I’ve needed. As a person without health insurance I rely on them for most things. I haven’t been disappointed yet.
I will never come back here and will certainly not take my daughter here ever again. I would urge anyone with a baby/toddler to seek another facility. I will say that the front desk staff was very nice. Unfortunately, "nice" ends at the desk. My 14-month-old baby girl suddenly developed a 101.6 degree fever and was lethargic and pale, but showed no other symptoms other than a lack of appetite. To say I'm pretty livid with this place, would be an understatement. I went in After coming home from work and feeling fine to having the worst throat pain in a matter of seconds. I went to bed and woke up with my tonsils so swollen I couldn't swallow. So I make an appointment and go to the doctor thinking I have to have the flu! I arrived around 7:20 pm on a Monday (for reference, they close at 8). There was no one else in the waiting room, and I'm sure they thought they were done for the night. The receptionist seemed less than enthusiastic with my arrival, and when the nurse came to get me from the waiting room, there was an audible sigh. He seemed completely disinterested in my replies to the questions he asked, and then brought me to a room. Terrific staff, quick service, minimum of paperwork. The PA I saw, Komal Patel, was wonderful. Highly recommend this facility for appropriate urgent care.
Friendly fast service I'm from out of state and everyone was very nice and got me in and out thanks guys!
