My son escaped twice from RTC. He had 3 different individual therapists during his RTC stay. They moved him from one house to another, claiming that the floors needed repair, but I'm pretty sure they are fixing up the properties to sell for profit and are moving out of CA, at least for residential care, because CA is too expensive. This is an unfortunate result of profit motive. I would not send a teen to Newport. My son is still struggling, and I'm looking for a better facility. i dont know if this will be seen by anyone working there (hopefully osiris is). my names evan fredette and i went to the newport academy Pleasanton location 4+ years back and had my contact info changed. im just posting this so hopefully whoever runs this can forward this to osiris or whoever is running the house now, because i would love to come see the house an everyone again :) very positive experience, very good energy and very good people.

I came hear a few years ago and I owe a personal apology to the staff and manager here. I forgot his name now but I hope he still works here. I was very confused and angry when I got there. I felt like I was being punished, for not doing enough to stay safe, for not being able to handle my shame and trauma, for telling the truth to my therapist and for her making me go to a residentiali. My daughter was transferred here from Sac location Emily is not a good communicator she made my daughter feel unwelcome and problematic (yes they are kids that need help). They are understaffed and inconsiderate of families impacted by their children needing help.
