Second morning in a row that we went to gym at 5:00 a.m (opening time) to find it locked up. Left today at 5:30, because yesterday at 6:15 it still wasn't open.
While most instructors work very hard to make it a good experience the management undermines those who work hard, those who care. Not surprised many left for 24 Hours Fitness down the road. Wake up NYSC.
Could use some updating. This includes equipment, flooring, maybe a coat of paint. I also think a lot of people left and went to 24 Hour Fitness recently?
Total shit hole but forced to go here because it's the closest gym in the area. Equipment is limited, old and usually out of order from breakage. UFX area takes up 1/2 the gym space and barely anyone uses it. The machines are all over the place with little reason as to why they were placed there and they are too close to each other because of lack of space. Left retro fitness to come to NYSC and I'll never turn back 🙋🏼
I have been a member at this club for many years. I workout an average of 4-5 times a week so I am very familiar with all the equipment that is or has been broken and not fixed timely. The club has gotten so filthy that I won't shower or take a steam there any more. The NYSC needs to up their game and quickly. The club leaves a lot to be desired. While the spin instructors and front desk people are first rate, the club is very run down. There were 5 spin bikes not working today and for the last several days, several stationary/recumbents haven't worked for months and a lot of the other equipment is not working. Machine maintenance is atrocious! Many members are in the process of joining 24 Hour Fitness which opened less than a mile away.
