Best Chicken Korma in the Country – This is my favorite Indian restaurant in town, possibly the best chicken Korma in North America (and I've tried several others). I agree with some of the other opinions here regarding poor service, attitude etc. but in my opinion the unparalleled korma secret recipe by itself trumps all else. It's worth the suffering ;o) unless some other place opens up with the same recipe and better service! New India beware ...
Worst Food and Worst Service in Columbus, OH – When we went there, there was no warm welcome and the service is horrible. They behave as if they give the food for free. If the quality of food is good, I can compromise on service but the food quality is also not good and the taste is not Indian. In the Indian restaurent I was for Indian taste but after paying hefty money for the worst food, I came out with bad memories..
I highly recommend The quality and freshness of the food, the variety and taste was simply unbelievable. I am and have been a fan of Indian food, but these guys know how to use spices.
Poor Service – The Restaurant seems to be just OK considering the fact that there are other better Indian restaurants in and around Dublin. The service is really bad, no promptness.. if u request a change in the menu the waitresses stare at you like you have broken the law or something. Food taste is below average. No frequent water fills, ambience is not good..no indian music in the background...i wonder why certain indian restaurants are poor in their service..waitresses not pleasant ..seem that they r working forcefully..... read more
Smokey shiraz – The wine seemed a bit smokey. We found the tip of a cigarette on the bottom of the wine glass. The food was forgetable; runny curry, burned nan and average tandori. Worst of all, we both have intestinal distress today the day after New India. Hmmm, could there be a connetcion? I won't give it another chance. The help wasn't rude just a bit odd and aloof. I still can't get the cigarette flavor out of my mouth and I have brushed my teeth and gargled many times. Seems a bit unsanitary, using a customers wine gla... read more
PD – We went to this restuarant on a saturday at around 2.30pm.As expectedly you think you will get a warm welcome with smiling face, but no it was a very depressing welcome and to add up to that the table manners were diappointing too.As when the water was served the spoons and the handtowel were all over the place with no courtesy to be arrange it . After such a start it is difficult to enjoy any food even if the chef has put all his efforts in the cooking. when asked for such a attitude towards coustmer the reply given wa... read more
This is the best Indian food I have ever had, including what I ate as a child at the table of our Indian family friend. New India Restaurant's lunch buffet is literally my first lunch choice in the whole city. It's that good. I cannot say enough about the food quality! Another important detail is that the food is totally authenic but really approachable--nothing looks "weird" or "icky". Everything is beautiful and smells heavenly--I really recommend this as a safe place to take a guest who hesitates to eat ethnic food. Try t... read more
I really should have listened to those who is not in favor of this restaurant – My husband and I wanted to try something new and found this restaurant on city search; decided to go despite the fact that there are some negative reviews. The lunch buffet is about $10/ person and the food is ok until my husband found three short curly hairs in the bread...
Fantastic Indian food – This is my favorite Indian restaurant, and I have never had a bad experience here. You are seated promptly, you don't wait long for your order, and the food is always good. I frequently introduce people here who have never had Indian food, and they always want to come back. The samosas, the naans, and the mango pudding are all excellent, and I think they have by far the best Chicken Tikki Masala in town. The prices are reasonable, and I don't see them skimp on the quality of food. I've been to many in... read more
