Absolutely awful experience as a past youth at New Day. Staff never took concerns seriously, and would knowingly turn away from intense verbal bullying going on 10 feet from them. One of the kids in my lodge was being molested by an older girl she was assigned to room with and when I confided in the staff, nothing was done and it continued for months.. when I told my mom about it, she confronted them but they denied all of it, they moved me lodges and my parents pulled me out. I hated it there this stuff treated kids like they were nothing and I had a friend thare how killed herself in the bathroom because of staff and family I got beaten up thare so bad and I would recommend going there
I have been to this place before, and well I did learn basic life skills that every kid should know. The way they teach things are so very unacceptable and not ideal FOR TROUBLED KIDS & TEENS. The way they would teach us things was with fear. Some staff members would abuse their power and power trip on us kids.
