I offered to volunteer for animal care in response to a request for such volunteers that was posted on the New Canaan Nature Center's website. I did not receive any response to my application and when I called the center to inquire as to the status, Michelle somewhat harshly and coldly responded that she had to check internally, not even acknowledging my email or thanking me for my offer. NYC Mamí on the Move approved. We loved their Pancake and PJ Brunch and their Maple Sugaring Festival. We visited the Chicken coop and the goats, roasted marshmallows by the fireside, tapped some trees for sap and watched them turn sap into syrup. The taste testing of real and fake syrup was yummy and my son loved all of the animals and toys in the discovery room. We went on a nature walk and hiked through the woods. Def come visit this nature center for an outdoorsy experience.

We first became aware of the New Canaan Nature Center when a representative brought three birds of prey to our local library for a demonstration. We visited the center and enjoyed it very much. We brought lunch and made a day of it. The children were delighted.
