Food was great and hot! Services last 2 times I went was horrible. We finished a whole basket of chips before we got our drinks. We had to ask another waitress for our drinks.
Went to Winfield to see my granddaughters. I wanted a treat for them to enjoy. We stopped at Neives for supper. We were prompty seated and then the wait...it was almost 5 minutes til our waitress came by ( great make up) she had brought chips and dip...no silverwear...she took our drink orders...meanwhile two men came in a d were seated at the next table...she was right there witb their chips silverwear and very quickly drinks...while we waited...when our drinks came 2 Styrofoam cups with lids and a rootbeer, and a glass of ... read more

8/13 update - owner contacted us and made it up to us with an amazing experience like we are used to getting from this establishment. Faith restored. 7/30 Awful experience. Food was wrong and cold for my meal, ate 1 of 4 items before I noticed, manager on duty said I ate more than 1/2 so the policy was to charge me. Girlfriends food was cold and rice still crunchy, said something and asked for something different, and it took awhile to come out and was still tried to be charged for prior higher item. I lived in Winfield over 50 years. I moved to Branson, MO almost 7 years ago. When I come home to Winfield, I always look forward to eating at Neives. 😌
Though we live out of town,, my wife and I always try to make it to Nieves when we are in Winfield. We stopped in for lunch and since it was Tuesday, we both ordered the Two Beef Taco special. The tacos (flour) were wonderful. It was one o'clock and the place was still packed. We were promptly seated and our order taken. In just a few minutes our order was at the table and we had a great lunch! Tuesday is a great day for lunch at Nieves.
Excellent queso and great food and atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
