Dr. Heskel is a rare find. He is extremely knowledgeable AND he is also very kind and compassionate. I trust him completely and feel that I can tell him anything. I've gone to him for everything from normal yearly skin checks to an intractable itch that other doctors had dismissed but he cleared up completely. He listens. He educates. I have been going to Dr Heskel for two years. His office is very professional and efficient. They have always run on time for my appointments and have a genuine concern for my well being. Dr Heskel is very thorough and knowledgeable. He takes whatever time is needed to make sure all my questions are answered. The office and doctor are very friendly. I highly recommend Dr Heskel if you are in need of a Dermatologist!
Dr. Heskel has been my dermatologist for over 25 years. His professionalism and knowledge are unbeatable. With my complex medical condition, he has been able to consider all of the history and make excellent recommendations. Dr. Heskel also provides care in Haiti a few times a year, for the poorest people in the Hemisphere. I'm alive and well thanks to Dr. Heskel. He removed a cyst from my neck and sent it to the lab. The pathologist confirmed the diagnosis as a benign cyst. When the cyst regrew at the same location 3 months later Dr. Heskel removed it again. He wisely sent the tissue to the pathologist again but this time it came back amelanotic melanoma. Because these raised pink growths are not pigmented like most melanomas they are often overlooked or removed after metastasis. Dr. Heskel is fantastic! His office staff are friendly and efficient. He has a great sense of humor and is very easy to talk to. Unlike many other dermatology clinics, he does not try to sell you a bunch of overpriced products. He is an excellent diagnostician and treats appropriately. I had some non cancerous lesions removed as well as PDT for a bunch of precancerous lesions. My results were fantastic. I have been a patient of Dr. Heskel's for several years. I have always found him and his staff to be courteous, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Anytime anyone asks about a dermatologist, I recommend him.
Never going back. Went for skin check & told the nurse I had some areas of concern . She was leaving the room & I asked if there was a gown or sheet so I could undress for the exam. She told me I can just drop my pants when the Dr came in. Thought that was strange so I began to remove my clothing down to my boxers, so the Dr. could actually look at my skin, & he immediately walks in. He was super fast & barely glanced at me. Best ever Dermatologist. Have been treated by 5or 6 different Dermatologist in North Carolina for Neurodermatitis without success. The itching constanly was really affecting not only my skin but my mental state. Finally decided to give it one more try here in Florida and he gave me a RX for a creme that absolutely got rid of the itch like never before and skin cleared up. This was all over my head and body, front and back. He is my Hero.
