First time I was at this clinic and the first time I met Dr. Spurgeon I was impressed. He sat down and he talked to me and explained a lot of other things and gave me my options. He did not just come in say a few things then turn around and walk out. He took care in what he was explaining what his findings were and my options. He also made sure that I could understand what he was saying and together we arrived at a solution. We started to do a treatment but we stopped. When the pain got to be too much for me. You better know your medications. Because they just throw anything at you. It doesn't matter, they don't look at your chart. They don't order your medical records. They're just there to steal money from you. For that first doctor's visit worst staff. I've ever had told me they're gonna stop me right there. And tell me how things are like. I was a child cause I was saying it was a little crazy to wait forty five minutes to get a return message when I have an appointment in less than two hours.Trying to figure out where the mi... read more

I went to see Dr. Whitten to receive steroid shots for my right lumbar. My experience with Dr. Whitten was great. He was very pleasant, explained the procedure to me and answered all the questions I had. As for all the other employees; receptionists, nurses, etc….not a one of them ever smiled, they treated patients as if we were cattle they were herding along. They were not personable, showed no caring interest and just wanted to get all the patients through as fast as they could. This is the area that needs improvement!

Doc Spurgeon is second to none. Almost 5 years of injections in multiple locations his record is 49 and 1. 49 being relief by at least 75% for months and 1 being sore for 4 days after procedure. Wish Huskers had him as coach. Injections in back, si joints, shoulder. Im 65 now and wouldn't have been able to do things without Nebraska Pain Institute. His knowledge is amazing and his procedures are well explained and quick. The whole staff is great. The girls keep a pleasant attitude even though I've seen patients acting like ... read more
