Unprofessional. I called requesting a pre-qual and informed loan officer of my current situation of going through a separation. Loan officer mentioned if I was a co-owner I more than likely would have an issue with getting an approval. Although he informed me of this, he continued to ask questions and basically informed me I needed a lawyer. I did not ask for advice, I asked whether or not I could get a prequalification.
