Went to see Dr. Spanyer as a second opinion for possible knee replacement. My visit was very comprehensive. I especially appreciate the time he spent with me to understand my situation. Everything was explained to me and terms that I could understand: i.e. the difference and the pros and cons of have a partial knee versus total knee replacement, review of the MRI and what it reflected. This doctor actually cares he listens and explains everything to you. I wish him before my previous surgery. He’s trying to fix me. The staff is kind and caring.
I’ve been a patient of Dr Spanyer’s for a few years. He takes his time talking WITH YOU not the typical TALKING AT YOU with the typical quick speech of what he is going to do. Younger Surgeons and Doctor could learn from his Professional but Personal Empathetic manner. After a surgery, I had to call him late one Sunday night- HE ANSWERED HIS PHONE. I highly recommend Dr Spanyer, you will not find a more TALENTED CARING SURGEON!!
