I served 29 yrs in the Navy, born in a Navy hospital, son of a CPO. This is a great hospital. When I retired I worked at Sharp and Kaiser GI-both run by former Navy doctors. Our Corpsmen are the best--as good as any LVNS in civilian care. As a whole, even with parking problems (because everyone is coming here). I'm proud of this hospital

Got my wisdom teeth extracted + a temporary anchorage device for my braces done surgically by Dr. Brian Evans, great team, made me as comfortable as possible! My fear was actually the iv inserted to my vains & it was nothing to be scared of (i just really am sensitive about that part, nurses have left me bruised on both arms before just not being able to stick my jumpy vain; however, this was perfect). They did great, got me in&out of there quickly & well informed, and even set me up nice with pain meds for after. Thank you ... read more

I went from a caring doctor and command up in Everett, WA to being just a number at Balboa with their OB/GYN. The doctors do not listen to you and assume you are just fine. It doesn't matter how much pain you are in unless you need to be hospitalized. They will make you work and work and work with no regard to how you are feeling. I have been here for over a month and a half and despite repeated faxes from my awesome OB/GYN up in WA, Balboa has yet to get my paperwork together and constantly give me a wrong due date.
