I have stayed in the Hospital on a few occasions, eleven months once, with a two week at home stay. The entire staff of Doctors, Nurses and Corpsman did their utmost to get me back in shape.
The doctors couldn't find out what the hell is wrong with me hahaha on first visit. Took 6 hours to pee in a cup and ct scan. The nurses were super nice. The doctor that saw me the first time cracked me up after he couldn't find out what was wrong he looked at me and said "well what do you wanna do next?" Lmfao that cracked me up. I was laughing. Two days later my pain was more constant and worse. The second doc told me I had an abdomen infection or some thing along the lines of that. Anyways nurses were still cool and helpf... read more
The staff was awesome. Big shout out to TEAM 5 NORTH. GREAT EXPERIENCE, GREAT SUPPORT. VERY UNDERSTANDING ESPECIALLY CAUSE MY HUSBAND IS AWAY ON DEPLOYMENT AND HE WASNT ABLE TO BE WITH ME THESE 4 DAYS THAT I HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED. ONCE AGAIN THANL YOU TEAM 5 NORTH.
Growing up I went to Balboa for care, now as an adult/retiree I can take my children. This past weekend my daughter was extremely ill so I took her to the ER, due to her illness we were admitted to the PICU/2E. The care my daughter received from the Dr's, nurses and corpsman were TOP NOTCH. They were very thorough in their care, all while keeping my husband and I informed. Their bedside manner was awesome in a good way! The Navy should be proud of their sailors that work here. They were amazing, I never heard a negative word... read more
Everyone is very friendly & informative! The rooms in Labor & delivery as well as post partum are very nice & spacious.
In the case of my husband who has multiple medical conditions, his short stay in NMCSD has been very , very pleasant.
