Dr. Akhtar fat-shamed me. I had an obvious issue with my knee that was not caused by any weight problem and he refused to even look at my MRI. When I asked why, he said, “he trusts the radiologist report. He doesn’t need to look at it.” At the time of my visit, I had been in pain for many months and he didn’t care. It was because he put a cheap nickel prosthesis in there, needless to say another doctor had to pull the whole knee replacement out because it was only a partial and replace it with a full knee replacement and that was the most painful time of my life. All in all, because of the decision to put a nickel replacement in my knee, it cost me five additional surgeries to have the allergic rejection stop.
