I took a class with Selina in 2022 and it is still the most worthwhile education experience in my career! She is so attentive to her clients and detailed oriented in her haircuts and colour. From the looks of it this space has become quite a community hub and I can imagine how much labour and energy it takes to run it. Very proud to see it flourishing and hope it continues
cannot say enough good things about Selena, the shop owner and my hairstylist. She is an all-around curl professional who is extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, and genuinely passionate about her work. Selina has been cutting & coloring my hair for the last 4 years. My hair has never felt healthier and more cared for. Her salon space is so comforting and you’ll always leave feeling so beautiful. It’s such a gift to feel cared for in this way and I highly recommend investing in yourself with a appt with her :)
I didn’t receive a service here, but I did interact with the salon publicly and felt compelled to leave a review based on that experience. I commented on a video expressing sticker shock at a quoted $300 haircut and said I disliked feeling taken advantage of as someone with curly hair. Two stylists responded dismissively, one suggesting I go to Supercuts, and the creator replying “Then it’s not for you :)”.
