National Grid charges a Minimum Charge ($10 on my bill) which is described as "the basic cost of providing service to each customer regardless of gas usage". Then they charge you for the actual gas you use ($19.33 on my current bill). THEN they charge you for a Gas Delivery Charge ($29.33 on my bill) and a Gas Supply Charge ($15.65 on my bill). On 9/1/17 I called to advise the transformer near my house blows all the time. The agent said they would look into this and would restore my neighborhood electric service ASAP. They restored it within an hour but today 9/11/17 the transformer blew again. It was after hours and could not speak to a live agent. This happens at least 1 to 2 times a year and now it's twice within a month. Very poor service. This is something that needs to be resolved ASAP.

Today I had a terrible experience with National Grid. The tenants who lived previously in our condo were delinquent on their bill. And although they no longer live there, our electricity was turned off. Despite hours of pleading and being excellent customers for almost a decade, we were told that our electricity could not be turned back on until Monday--today is Thursday. We have a young child and will have no electricity for 4-5 days when we've done nothing wrong. And not one person helped me...

Maybe our bills wouldn't be so high if their postage bill was lower
