I do not normally use National as the few experiences I have had are all very similar; they seem disorganized, the lines are long and the process of getting the rentals are time consuming and archaic. On this one particular occasion we selected National based on the vehicle selection. We needed a large passenger van which we were told they had; we received a minivan. Being an Emerald club member does you no good in Huntsville..They refuse to honor club members and let you pick your car..I was told they did not participate in the Emerald Club program even though I was told by National's nationwide customer service group that participation in this program was not an option for their branches...I did receive a free day rental for my problems but will now consider other rental companies...Huntsville used to have great service but that has changed in the last year or so...

Folks are very courteous at this location, and my frequent rentals are usually completed in a matter of minutes. My only real knock is the cleanliness of the vehicles. They are obviously rushed in and out of detail. The exterior mirrors and glass are typically water spotted, and the carpets look barely vacuumed. But as I mentioned, they are a friendly, courteous bunch!

The staff are courteous and professional. The location for pick-up and delivery is perfect since I normally fly in and out of Huntsville. The cars are top quality and in excellent condition. I did rent one car in 4 years that was a little low on gas when I picked it up, and NCR let me bring it back a little low with no charge. So I have been very pleased doing business with NCR! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the opportunity to provide constructive feedback. I hope you are going to use it to enhance my customer satisfaction. I have been using the National Car Rental site at the Huntsville, Alabama, airport, once a month since January 2016. Each time I get a very nice vehicle but very poor service at the outdoor window, where I pick up my car. I am recorded as being an Emerald member, but I feel like a "rock" instead. This facility is consistently above the other car rental companies throughout the western U.S. In fact,the people here are better than other National facilities I've dealt with. Here's why, they actually LISTEN if there is a problem, and then take ACTION to serve their customers. I've had a couple problems with cars, it happens, but I've never been given the tired, worn out, excuse of "I'm sorry, but that is our company policy". Car was excellent, but pickup and drop off experience was not. I used virtual pick up to select car. Upon arrival, the attendant could not read bar code on my cell phone with her scanner and this pickup process turned into a 30 minute plus ordeal. At drop off, I was ignored by the attendant scanning in cars and ended up walking into airport lobby in order to avoid long line in the garage. Very disappointing experience for a long time status member.

Great staff and location. Cars were available and close by. Did not have to take bus or walk long distance. Checkin/checkout process was the easiest I have ever had. It was great. Thank you.
