Improved wait times due to more qualified staff. Had been treated by another MD who was on holiday . Dr Averill was seen & gave me a broader antibiotic shot & very effective over the long holiday weekend ! Would recommend
Waited over a half hour. Medical history review was glanced over, but not discussed in detail. The doctor interrupted me several times when trying to discuss the issues that brought me in. The only thing he wanted to discuss was my weight, how much I could lose before I saw him again, and what I thought would be an ideal weight. I went in and waited for 45 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Dr. Averill came in with a student and didn't even say anything about being late or apologize. I overheard him apologize to another patient he saw before me. I asked him to examine my eye and he said he didn't see the issue I was describing and didn't feel the raw area. I tried to show him and have him look again. He said I can just go get a second opinion or he can just prescribe something for me, not knowing or seeing what I was trying to show him. H... read more
When considering a new doctor as we plan to move to South Carolina, I’ve never had more people say NOT to see Dr. Averill. Appointments running an hour behind, wayyy overbooked, disrespectful to his staff... these were just a few things I’ve heard. While I haven’t had the pleasure(or not) of meeting him, I don’t think I want to. Isn’t everyone’s time valuable? Treat others how you want to be treated, Doctor!
Dr Averill is extremely caring and is interested in getting to know his patients and exploring resources and options to meat their health needs.
