I too have been a victim of this company and their illegal billing practices. I had what my OB/GYN stated was “standard” genetic testing completed in November of 2021. I was told it was covered 100%, then months later received a bill for approximately $80 (after BCBS insurance, through the hospital I worked at where the test was completed), which I paid even though it was supposed to be fully covered. PROSPECTIVE PARENTS, DONT USE THIS COMPANY! IT’S A SCAM! This is a frigging terrible, utterly shameless and irresponsible company. We used their service and they forgot to take one of the two samples from us. These bastards refused to give us any update that they lost our sample until six weeks later! Because of this shameful delinquency, we wasted a lot of time and now it’s too late for us to make any changes. Deceitful billing practices. Would never give this company my business again. Wasn’t aware of the cost when I got my panorama. Company called me on my private phone to offer a cash payment option that avoided insurance for 7 payments of $100, but I had to decide that week. Called my obgyn about my concern. This company has been a nightmare! I’ve been waiting on results since May 14th, between Natera and my obgyn I’ve called 3 times. They tell you a slew of different dates just to get you off of the phone. The most recent was “labs are backed up due to COVID”. There hasn’t been a COVID delay anywhere in at least a year! Again, bull crap to get you off of the phone. Last week I was also told they needed 2-3 more days to run my lab tests. Well it’s been over an additional week. If I could, I would do a 0 stars on this company. They are so frustrating to work with. I made my 3 installmet payments which paid off my balance, yet they proceeded to take an additional 3 more payments! I called them after each one, explained the whole story every time. Have talked with a different person each time. No one seems to know "what is going on" with my case. They put you on hold for ever!!! Their customer service people are rude and incompetent. Awful costumer service and promotes something they don't follow, they advertised results available to patients in 10 day more or less but they never release the results to the patient as it should be because the patient is the one paying for their services. Natera Inc falsely represented their billing prices (most likely intentionally). I specifically asked Natera for the pricing and provided my insurance information. I received an email on May 3rd, 2021 stating that the estimated out-out-pocket cost would be between $100-$200 with my insurance. They also stated that the cash rate was $249. So this clearly state, that even without insurance coverage, the cost would be $249. I ordered the exact test they gave me the price for. I’m very disappointed that this is the business that my OB chose to go with. After being told in the office that I would owe no more than $249, I promptly get a bill from Nateta in the mail for almost $800 and subsequent harassment for weeks about paying my bill.
