My 4.5-year-old son, who has autism, recently completed a 3-week intensive OT program at NAPA Center with Alison Kielty, and she is truly amazing. We've worked with many occupational therapists since my son was 2, and Alison is by far the best! It's good if the parents of the kids think that it is beneficial to their children that go there. I personally don't see why they are highly used! The therapy they offer can be done at home if the parents want to do it themselves! Nothing special! The workers are all wonderful though! Very professional! Very engaged with the children.
Our experience at the Napa Center was absolutely wonderful, for both our daughter and our entire family. Our daughter has Cerebral Palsy, and the center-based program helped her tremendously with her social skills, comprehension, and ability to follow directions. The on-site PT and OT, along with the skilled teachers and staff, eased any concerns we had about her learning to use the parts of her body affected by CP in ways that could be harmful to her growth. My child gets closer to being able bodied than ever before! She gets treatment here that she does not get from anywhere else. I will continue to travel to bring her to any available Napa center to get her the help she needs for as long as I can.
Some atypical mommy friends told me about this therapeutic place while they were doing a pop up in Santa Barbara, I’m so glad they told me about this wonderful facility, my almost non verbal 4yo is doing the 3 week intensive in Los Angeles and I’m already seeing a lot of improvements in fine motor and more new words. Amazing therapists!
