Came by bike, no boat. Been here many times prior. Very nice area. Will be back sooner than later.
Wonderful location where the Appalachian Trail crosses the Nantahala, with many available activities in the surrounding hills and on the river. Good restaurants at the take-out, various options for lodging, and a well stocked outfitter store.
Absolutely love this place. Can't get back often enough. Have also been to some of their other sites and have always had a great experience.
3rd generation of employees to work at The NOC. My 2nd family, in fact we have right now 4 family members who work here and my daughter is hoping to start soon.
Whitewater rafting is now off my bucket list. Caitlin was my guide she did a bang-up job, (no pun intended).everything was well done from fitting gear to training. Clear concise commands had us working in unison for a maximum experience. CLASS FIVE rapids were awesome. Shower facilities got me back into my clean dry clothes quickly, and photography presentation was good. I have pictures for my scrapbook. ANYONE CAN DO THIS. :) REGARDS, Mark M . Wright
