It was so amazing, I went two days in a row! I will return the next time I am in the area!
The food is not very good, the service is awful. The bar is loud, the staff and management is not helpful. It did not used to be this way.
I enjoyed a recent meal, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the recent asbestos related legal problems of the owner will discourage a return. I work hard for my money and will not give it to that kind of landlord.
I have been coming to Nancy Chang's now for about a month. I find the atmosphere in the bar to be warm and welcoming and the bartender Jessie goes out of her way to make people feel at home. I have had some very tasty tapas dishes and have had some great times with people I never met until that night. Jessie it the key to that. So, if you see me there, come on over. We'll shake the tree over a few mai-tais and see what falls out.
I was upset to learn what they market as "vegan" pad Thai actually has fish sauce in it! Seriously???? How can you put something in the vegan section of your menu you tout and label it as vegan when it has animal products in it? That's completely unethical!!!! I'm glad I asked and I'm also glad I don't have a food allergy. Vegan by definition means no animal products so you could end up killing someone who has an allergy and doesn't expect to need to ask about that!
There Chinese food is great and awesome service. Great place to dine in for lunch and dinner.
