NAMI saved my life. How ? It had support groups I could actually connect with. They trained me to teach others to do the same. It empowered me. It kept me in recovery. It had the same type of support for the loved ones we unwillingly and unintentionally hurt. Although it seems as if its just they way we are, NAMI taught me enough so that I saw that I DID HAVE A PROBLEM. I'm a father now, and knowing that all this education will be here for me as I continue the best years of my life.
