Dr Kousa is a lazy, incompetent and neglectful provider. He should not be allowed to treat any patient.
January of 2025 my husband told his primary care doctor at the VA in Myrtle Beach SC that his shoulder hurt and he was tired. He read on the Internet it could be his heart. She said you need to stop reading the Internet. Completely dismissed the concern so he figured he must be ok. August 26, 2025 he had a heart attack and died but was revived at the softball field. Horrible customer service. They make you feel inept and have no empathy. It’s like we are bothering them for doing their job. I use private insurance for all specialists since VA doesn’t take Medicare and since they dropped the ball on pulmonary care for me. I am probably the ONLY Vietnam Vet who gets zero disability rating. But have plenty of problems, all acknowledged but denied. So I gave to pay out of pocket for doctor visits at VA. Only reason I stay is because I get free shoes and eyeglasses. Big woop!
Moved from Florida recently & had a new patient appointment on 12/01. I was assigned to Dr. Hernandez & her staff - Team 10. I had an outstanding experience. Everyone was extremely professional, pleasant, helpful & thorough. I feel so fortunate.
