great place for specialty foods My dog has food allergies, and My Dog's Bakery has a nice variety of foods with no grains, corn, soy, or wheat. They carry a high-quality (and delicious, judging by my dog's reaction) brand of frozen raw meat medallions that you can't get at the big chain pet stores. I have been in the store several times to browse the specialty food because I have been trying some different combinations with my dog and witnessed a woman whom I believe to be a manager being incredibly rude to the other employees and even arguing. It was embarrassing to me and other clients in the store. I won't be back because of the terrible leadership. I refuse to patronize even local businesses who think it's okay to publicly demean their employees.
Don't Take Your Dog Here!!! Don't take you dog to this facility. If you pay close attention when you stop by, you will notice that the owner is nice to you, because she wants you to spend your money, but she curses constantly, has a negative and unprofessional attitude and allows her very large german shepherds to intimidate the other dogs in the daycare. Sad to see a fun store suffer under a bad owner!! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!! I can't even begin to describe how horrible of a person the owner, Vicky J. Gardner, is. Yes, the little short troll of a woman with a mullet. It's unreal how nasty she was to myself, my wife, & my three children in Feb'12. Our kids couldn't do anything right. HORRIBLE SERVICE I just wanted to let everyone know about my very unsatisfactory service while I went to buy dog food. Like most of you who are trying to save money and cut back where you can, dog food is no difference. I would like to keep buying the "good" dog food while I can afford it and am still looking for the best possible price. Great Place for Man or Beast – My wife and I frequently head into this place and have had great service. And our dog absolutely loves going there. (It might have something to do with the homemade treats that they are always popping into her mouth) We went in the store 10 minutes before closing with a question one time and all three clerks stopped closing up the store and helped us with our questions. We couldn't be more satisfied with this place!
Best store in Central IL When they expand this spring I expect them to be world class. I love this store! The owner is very friendly. I don't know what the other person posting is talking about. I go in there several times a month and have always had a wonderful experience. The dogs in store are very friendly. They are German Shepherds so maybe if you have a fear of GSDs you may misconstrue and friendly sniff as an out of control dog?? I don't know.
