My Dog loves it here! – I saw some of the other reviews about the owner here and I have to say that perhaps people are taking the owner the wrong way. Yes, she isn't warm and fuzzy but she is polite and does treat the dogs warm and fuzzy which is my main concern. The services and enviroment are wonderful, grooming comes out beautifully and overall I think if you aren't looking for a pat on the head for yourself you will be delighted. Give them a chance!
The (((WORST))) Customer Service – If you don't mind being disrespected or treated like a disturbance than this is the place to go! The owner, Loralei Zwitt has absolutely NO people skills whatsoever! Long story short; I didn?t appreciate the way she was talking down on us, like as if our presences was bothering her. Why so hostile? – I don't think the owner really likes dog owners. She treats us like we are stupid instead of helping us through our issues. If we knew the answers, we wouldn't be seeking her help...... Really kind of mean to her students.
Lots of Doggie Fun – Unlike the persons before me, I have never had a bad experience at My Dog & Me. It smells clean from the moment that you walk in the front door. The staff is helpful and knowledgable about all things dog related. If someone doesn't know the answer they will get you the answer, regardless of what they have to do to get that information. Strongly NOT recommended – Facility size is big, and it suppose to be an ideal place for your dog to have fun in hot summer and raining day. However, the play area is super dirty and the Astroturf carpet has stinky nasty smell. The staffs and owner stated that the Astroturf is being deep cleaned daily after close, but it is a serious doubt any cleaning was done the night before. The owner/trainer/manager is Heinous! – Wow, this place has so much going for it! It's indoors, has great staff, a fabulous facility and great selection of retail products and services BUT it is owned by the wicked witch of the west. Seriously. I'm not sure she likes dogs at all, let alone people. She shrieks and screams at her staff (who are all sweet and terribly patient), her customers and their dogs for everything from barking to disobedience to accidents in the play area. I learned more from watching the dog whisperer – I brought my puppy to get trained and after seeing the dog whisperer, I see how this place is lacking. It is a cold atmosphere and I don't feel my dog and I got well trained. After insisting going there because their billboards were so in my face day after day on Shepherd, I was sadly disappointed. It's Too Bad – It's too bad that someone with a few more teaching skills isn't the owner/trainer at this facility because she certainly seems knowledgeable. I signed up for classes here because I found that the class I had taken at Petsmart "wasn't all that much". However, at My Dog and Me, you feel that it's the trainer against you and your dog, rather than with you. Taking classes here is a real "mixed bag".
