My experience at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City was extremely disappointing. The nurses I encountered came across as uncaring, inattentive, and as though helping patients was an inconvenience. The attitudes and lack of professionalism I witnessed were shocking for a hospital. I brought my mother in during the night, and at around 1:00 a.m., her call light had been on for an extended period with no one responding. You know usually when I come here because I'm bleeding and it won't stop due to my fibroid tumor, the doctors are great. But not tonight, tonight I had Tamella P Livengood, and she had the nerve to tell me that she could not check my ferritin or my iron level which I just have had checks before and also told me that everything with my tumor was the same from July 19th. Great Staff, Great Care! RN Bethany and her team on the 2nd floor were amazing! I was moved to the 7th floor with another amazing team. The Dr.'s were thorough, the nurses were attentive, a 5 star Hospital! Thank you everyone!
While on vacation near this hospital, my 3 year old fell and broke her collarbone. The staff (from triage to nursing to X-ray to the physician) were kind, gentle, and compassionate on what was clearly a busy night. My daughter wasn’t scared at any point and left with a sling and a smile.
