The ER wait times are insane. You can LITERALLY drive to Grand Rapids or Lansing and be seen looooong before your 5+ hour wait at Munson will be up. And sure, they're "short staffed" -- so are most hospitals. And yet this is literally the only one in the state where you have to wait 5-6 hours while having a heart attack or bleeding out to be seen. I arived at 2 in the morning with a dislocated shoulder. When i walked in, everyone was verry friendly and profesional starting with josh at chekin then Tasha on X ray. Dr Michel MD Keegan was such a sweatheart and did the best job posible placing my shoulder back. If u are in need of urgent medical care i highly recomend Munson Medical Center!
I had a horseback riding accident and was transferred to the hospital by ambulance from urgent care. I don’t live in the area and I can say is the staff were exceptional. They were knowledgeable about next steps, they were attentive to the call bell - I never waited more than 3 minutes. The staff was professional and caring. Everyone - doctors, nursing staff, respiratory, physical therapy and even transporters within the hospital. I felt welcome and seen.
