Great doctors, helpful staff I have had nothing but positive experiences at Muir Oaks so far. I have been a client for about 1 year and in that time all three of my pets have been seen. I have seen most of the doctors there, but Dr Nilsen is my current doctor. I have never had a problem with the prices. I feel that if you want the best, state-of-the-art, AAHA ACCREDITED hospital to work with your pets, you have to pay a little more than if you went to a run down, dirty, smelly clinic with old school doctors and old school pr... read more

More Harm than Help. Run don't walk away from here. I have been going there for years with both our dog and cats and the service and care has down way down hill. They are extremely over-priced and expect to wait a lot, before, during and after the appt. They seem to make-up whatever suits them ie: we are the only ones who can fill the prescription, this is the only option for treatment and "by law, you can't have your pet's remains, you have to pay us to depose of the body." They are extremely over-priced and expect to wait a lot, before, during and after the appt. Do these people CARE about animals?? I am going to keep this short but Muir Oaks provides some of the most repulsive service I have ever seen in my days as an animal lover. My family has two cats and two dogs. All are old or aging and require vet care on a regular basis.

Doctors know what they are talking about, but techs need work. Recently I took my sick cat to this hospital to find out what is wrong with him(i.e. he kept falling over and running into things). The doctors there were very helpful and tried their best to figure out what was wrong with him. Even though they tried really hard to diagnose him, he ended up going to a Specialist instead. The doctors there seemed really concerned about my cat and talked to me and asked relevant questions.

Muir Oaks Gouges Grieving Pet Owners I have used Muir Oaks for over 3 years until just recently. I always heard that it was more expensive than all the other local vets, but I never really knew how much.

Good Care I have taken my cats to Muir Oaks since 2002. Dr. Herder has been very thorough with my diabetic cat's meds and tests. I have always been treated fairly and politely. There have been a couple of occasions where we had to wait longer than usual, which was due to an animal emergency. All you have to do is speak up and tell them what your financial situation is and have only tests that are truly needed.
