scorned five times i was referred to this vet by someone who has also changed their views on how they work.1. i brought my cat in who has suffered from an eye injury since birth. i was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with her. she is now seeing another vet who does have her on eye treatment to stop her eye bleeding.2. i brought my dog in for shots and an exam and was charged for a fecal exam that never happened. we had also turned down this exam. it took two phone calls and an argument with the office manager to take... read more

My dog didn't deserve this! My dog didnt deserve this! I took my dog Bear to this vet since he was a puppy without blinking an eye on how the costs seemed a couple hundred dollars more than other local vets.I immediately thought and assumed this vet was a notch above the rest, and my dog deserved it. I then started taking my cat, and then we rescued a chuhuahua and paid $750 to have her spayed at this place (probably at least 25% higher than any other local vet) But again, it's just money and the pets are worth it. Well afte... read more

16 years at this vet and I still use them. My family has been taking various pets over the years to Muir Oaks. I was with them at their old location with my parents, and I am with them now at their new location with my husband, puppy and cat. When my husband and I got our puppy last year, we discovered the hard way that our puppy is very sensitive to injections and reacts to most of them. We were calling the clinic all the way up till 9pm at night with concerns about how puppy was reacting. Being first time, nervous parents,... read more

Beautiful but Expensive Beautiful, state of the art building and they are paying for it by charging fairly high prices. The front staff isn't the best and changes often, but the vets are very good. Dr. Goldy is my favorite and my dachshunds really love her. Often can't get an appointment when I need one and that is a problem. They have also had a high employee (incl vet) turnover during the past 4 years I've been going there.

Would not recommend I had my cat boarded here over the holidays, and the front desk staff was very rude while they checked her in. She is diabetic, so I had the necessary supplies along with her schedule for insulin shots ready. I tried to go over the instructions for her care (the time span between her insulin shots, eating habits, etc.) and was brushed off. The kicker was when I tried to give them her old needles for proper disposal - they are considered medical waste and should be given to the proper companies for disposa... read more

More Harm than Help. Run don't walk away from here. I have been going there for years with both our dog and cats and the service and care has down way down hill. They are extremely over-priced and expect to wait a lot, before, during and after the appt. They seem to make-up whatever suits them ie: we are the only ones who can fill the prescription, this is the only option for treatment and "by law, you can't have your pet's remains, you have to pay us to depose of the body." Don't let them take your pet to the back alone for... read more

Do these people CARE about animals?? I am going to keep this short but Muir Oaks provides some of the most repulsive service I have ever seen in my days as an animal lover. My family has two cats and two dogs. All are old or aging and require vet care on a regular basis. We started going to Muir Oaks in October of 2007 and stopped going there in January of 2009 because we were treated like crap by staff over a $50 charge for bringing our dog back in for a re-check. I have never been charged for a re-check on services receive... read more
