We'd been a minimal care family just keeping visits to traveling vets in Tok, until my lab hurt his knee. Id heard that some vets are quite judge-y if your pet isn't groomed to a T, etc. Although the traveling vet isn't... I was apprehensive. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My Pork Chop isn't friendly to other dogs, so we were able to check in and have him enter the side door, bypassing other animals. Dr Flamme was patient with PC and earned his trust. Bought the puppy package for my puppies set of shots and checkups. She felt safe and left happy after her first visit at 10 weeks old. Great staff!
We could not have ever imagined the amount of love and outstanding care our dog has received from the Dr.’s and staff at Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital. Our dog suffered a severe leg break and she has had top care from everyone here. Her stay was very long and we missed her beyond measure at home. We were welcome to visit her every day and the staff always stopped by to let us know how loved our girl is. Thank you is simply not enough ��
Walk in, no appointment on a Sunday. Great people and great treatment. I was accustomed to getting many unneeded services, I was always being charged for a checkup and over billed at North Pole Vet ($200-300), Mt Mckinley was a relief to find a business that was not going to sell me anything they could. Vet was very knowledgeable about the injury. Even though I wanted an x ray, he explained that is was unnecessary. In and out in 30 min with a bill of $100 (with medication)

Went back to Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital at the insistence of my friend to see Dr. Flamme. My first visit there was not so good, and I felt that vet just wanted my money rather than really treat my cat. Glad I went back. Dr. Flamme has taken care of Mr. Whiskers for three years now, already, and I'm so happy with the care he has given to Mr. Whiskers.
