My sister & I recently moved to Alamosa & both of us opened accounts. I went in today to cash a check which was in both of our names, the teller was extremely RUDE, she said she couldn't help me & shoved the check back to me, she then went to the branch manager & ask her, she came up & approved it. This teller needs some education on customer service!! She is rude everytime we go in! It was not Denise or the drive up person. We are both taking our money out!
They are an excellent business. People who complain about the verification process are unfamiliar regarding the law. It has nothing to do with discrimination or lack of honor or respect.
I am new to town, I went to open an account, and was denied because I do not have utility bills or a lease with my name and address on it. I am living off grid on land that is paid off, a tiny house that is paid off, I am using solar energy and I have my own water. I have a local P.O box yet was denied an account. I work and also have a private business. Yet they would not allow me to get an account. This is a form of discrimination, and I will be happy to keep my money in my bank from where I am from.
