We just happened to come up on Mountain Lodge as we were sight seeing. This place is awesome!! We will be back for sure!!

This my husbands, must stop, while traveling in this area, the food is FANTASTIC, the staff are wonderful, home cooking, comfort food. Don't miss it next time you're in the area.

Best tasting breakfast and the best price in Gatlinburg. Not on main drag. Closed Tuesdays. Everything we had was excellent, Omelettes, biscuits and gravy, grits, waffles, pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Both times we went wait was minimal. Not fancy by any means but the food is worth driving a few minutes.

The place the locals eat. Seated at your will. Service was super fast for the amount we ordered yet we weren't rushed. Portions were plentyful. Highly recommended over those pancake houses.
Food quality 5 stars; food taste 5 stars; service 5 stars; atmosphere 5 stars; prices 5 stars; location only gets 4.5 stars because it takes us 9 hours to get here! Honestly our favorite place to eat. Ron and Jennifer really are classic restaurant owners that have high standards and are really good people!

Shame... I wished we would have seen this FB site first: We walked all the way from Historic Nature Trail Rd (2.5 miles) to find that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays! Bing and Trip Advisor state that you are open now. Maybe you all can update for future patrons. We look forward to trying again another day since your reviews are so high.
