This is my first trip back to Gatlinburg since the fires. The Mountain Lodge has been THE place I had to eat at everyday. It was sad that I had to find another place to eat at. Loved the Omelettes, homemade cinnamon rolls, hamburger steak, bacon cheeseburger, and homemade banana pudding. Had to order that as soon as you walked in the door. Our hearts were broken when we went back to Gatlinburg a few weeks ago to wrap our heads around what happened. We had owned 5 cabins until a year and a half ago and always ate at Mountain Lodge where you always had great food and service. 3 of our cabins burned but we had sold them. Praying for everyone that was affected by the fires and will miss going there to eat when we go back. We have been going to Gatlinburg for 19 years which is where we got married.
I am very glad I got to eat there before it was gone. Our first time there this past summer and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in Gatlinburg. An unfortunate loss to the city. Wishing you the best.
We loved the Mountain Lodge. Great food, wonderful, friendly service and very reasonable prices. We were heartbroken to hear that it was lost in the horrible fire. We went to Gatlinburg this past weekend for our annual Christmas trip and it was so sad to drive by and see what remained of the best little restaurant in Gatlinburg. We will truly miss eating there and visiting with the best staff ever.
Hoping this wonderful place will reopen!!!! They always made us feel like family!!
