Worst hospital ever. My mother is currently in their emergency department asking to be transferred to winthrop.
I have a few reasons!! One being i came in in February of 2018. Was told to go to the ER because my blood pressure was dropping. I was so sick, i didn’t realize i had sepsis , completely dehydrated and running a fever. Well they left me sitting in the ER for hours, the Nurses knew how sick i was but it was more important to take undocumented persons first!!! Really!! RecommendedGoing to the hospital is always nerve racking but my experience at south Nassau hospital to be excellent the doctor, nurses and the rest of the staff to be fabulous. I definitely recommend this hospital
2 WEEKS AGO MY WIFE AND I HAD OUR SECOND CHILD AT SOUTH NASSAU HOSPITAL. WE RETURNED TO SOUTH NASSAU BECAUSE OF OUR GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH OUR FIRST CHILD. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. WE ARRIVED AT SOUTH NASSAU FOR A PLANNED C-SECTION ON MARCH 26. THERE WERE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE SO WE WERE PLACED IN THE HALL WHERE THEIR MEDICAL STAFF TOOK HER MEDICAL HISTORY WITH LIMITED PRIVACY. RecommendedAbsolutely amazing hospital with amazing doctors!
Don’t come here for an emergency if possible. The security staff are manning the phones and front desk and they are completely useless.
