Both patient food and cafeteria food is unhealthy. Food is medicine and clearly Mount Sinai doesn't see it that way. They serve high-sugar content food to patients, as well as poor-quality meat. The fact that the cafeteria main course meals are loaded in meat baffles me. Meat is simply not healthy, but I'm sure that's a decade's battle from now. They also use SO MUCH STYROFOAM. That is SO bad for the environment. Imagine the entire hospital using large styrofoam cups for water for every patient multiple times a day. incredib... read more

So my friend is here and out of all the facilities I thought I would be impressed with, I thought this facility would do. Unfortunately it didn't and it hasn't. Residents came into his room today, did not introduce themselves and did not present any plan. Just came in and said, you need to get up. Really!!!! Then when I came out and told them that the patient/my friend has no idea who you are, they stated he knows who I am. They addressed me like so many residents do, without any concern for the patients well being. They tol... read more
