When I was 14 I visited Mount Rushmore. I didn't remember it well. So amazing to see it again 41 years later. So much more respect for how our country began and our park services. We were there on the last night lighting ceremony and it was so moving. Girls road trip with my mom, sister in law and niece. We will always have great memories of our visit to Mount Rushmore!!
Went to the night lighting, it was almost overwhelming. Extremely good program and I would highly recommend it for everyone
Totally awesome. It's free to visit but you pay for parking unless you park at the far lot. Well worth the visit.
Bucket list item, CHECK I wish there were tours, guided or not, up to the top of the hill. It would be neat to see top side. The trail across the bottom was cool and had much wildlife, including Billy goats! Make sure to see the Crazy Horse monument too as they use the same crafting techniques so you can see what it may have looked like during construction.

Beautiful monument and the tribute to the Veterans at the lighting ceremony was great not just because I was one of them.
Such a beautiful place to visit! I had always heard about Mt. Rushmore, but to see it in person is amazing! Absolutely enjoyed our visit.
