It was a beautiful site to see. The weather was great that day. My husband and I watched the film the day we were there. Lots of history to read about and see. I was totally impressed!
It was an up close experience for sure. Of course I pass through occasionally and I'm always deterred due to inclement weather. This occasion was a little wet but I felt it was my best opportunity. Wasn't very difficult to get up the mountain as it's the off season so there wasn't much competition making it to the top to see the magnificent art work. I came all the way from Houston Texas, to visit a friend who took me there, awesome thats all I can say.
We had a great time. Loved it Wanted to see it for years. And wildlife in the area was amazing !
They have the friendliest people working there. When they get all the remodeling finished it will be fantastic to see. My mom and dad lived out there in 1953 and mom has been back but it's been a long time ago. She loves the new things going on and said that the breakfast we had was awesome. Good work at preserving such a beautiful work of art.
