We installed a new set of service disconnects and power festoon system a couple years ago at Walker Boat Yard’s lower landing facility. The old service was outdated and was always in the way during high water situations. A lot of thought went into making sure that power could remain on during flood levels. So far so good. Looks like they are good to go for four more feet. Jackson Purchase Energy will kill the service if the water comes up another two feet.

This photo shows the main power station for a dock string in Saint Louis. To the right of the two main panels, is a space where the automatic transfer switch will be installed this year. The new office barge is currently close to completion in Columbus, Kentucky. Once it arrives in Saint Louis, the generator and all power, data and security systems will be tied in to complete this major project. If you are ever crossing the bridge into Saint Louis if you were to look down river to the left, you might just see this facility.
We are so thankful to have enough area to properly lay out our projects. Proper staging leads to having what we need to be able to make organized installations.
