About this business

This nighttime favorite in the heart of the Gold Coast is still kicking after more than 30 years on a street that has seen its fair share fly-by-night clubs and bars. Variety is the appeal, with three distinctive rooms and four full-service bars. The front room is classic, with Tiffany-styled lamps, crystal chandeliers, pool tables and a free jukebox. The game room, cafe and gift shop are on one side. The main room is where the action is, with a huge dance floor, state-of-the-art sound system, laser lights, fog machine and e... read more

Cannot promote any establishment who would discriminate on anyone who wants to enter including a homeless person especially if they are a paying customer. Deal with reality and just take your business to the woods and send out invites to who you want that way you will not have to worry about who comes in and be surprised. You will already know your KKK buddies!

Mother's Night Club – Yup! Me and couple of college friends experienced same thing in the late 80's.. we were a combo of hispanic, black and caucasians... they did not want our blk friend from entering bar... Some crap about dress code... (and he was GQ style kind of guy) so we all left. I hope its just coincidence, after 30 yrs!

Mothers is RACIST – I have faithfully gone to Mother's over the past few years, I cannot count the times I have been. Despite the fact that this place leaves MUCH to be desired, I continued to go there because I liked the crowd & it had a familiar feeling. I had heard about an incident where a group of black guys were not allowed in because of what they had on, only to switch clothes with their white friends & have their white friends allowed in. However I assumed maybe this was an isolated event. Yet coming to this site I s... read more

Good Place To Have A Guinness – One of the better, friendly bars, pubs, I was in in Chicago. Bartender was curtious and extremely informitive. Poured a great Guinness topped with eactly 1/2 inch of head cool not cold and even added the clover leaf at the top of the foam. Monday afternoon fish and chips well priced and decent. Overall a decent quite place to have an afternoon Guinness.

FANTASTIC!! – Had a GREAT time! music was awesome and consistent, not a bad song played. Bar staff made great drinks, a bit of a wait for drinks because they were so busy. Only speaking from the night i was there, i didn't see any sort of racism in this bar. all cultural groups were there and i didn't witness any issues regarding that. All around an AWESOME time, cant wait to go back!

RACIST!!!!!!!! – I hate to think racism occured but I have my reasons. First things first, I called to set up my birthday party, I should mention that I tend to sound like what would be considered as having a "white girl" voice. They connect me to the manager and the party is arranged. VIP area is booked for my party and 10 of us were supposed to buy 2 $30 bracelets for drinks for 3 hours. Everything was set up, I called an hour before ai got there to confirm. When we arrive at the door, suddenly they don't remember having a... read more

Most Definately RACIST... – I truly wish we had ran across these reviews before we stepped into this place. Mind you.. $5 fee to enter, donated $5 to the "Haiti Fund" and STILL paid a rediculous price for WATERED down drinks. Three hours later we were escorted out/ over an incident that we tried to avoid... but somehow got caught in the crossfire... leaving us to fend for ourselves. Try that trash in a prodominately hispanic establishment... then again," WE have CLASS" and know how to act when we mingle with our "OWN". It's ... read more

Discriminatory pigs?? – As we all know fights break out due to drunkenness and stupidity. If your girl cant handle her liquor, please be a man and take care of your dog. Group of friends out celebrating, Caucasian chick gets crazy drunk, pushes a friend and they start fighting. Self defense right? Or are you supposed to stand there and take it just because you are a bit darker toned then the other person? Then 5 guys accompanying this "lady" tries putting their hands on girls... Guess who gets kicked out? The luscious bodaci... read more

Who is gonna give me my 2 hours of my life back? – Our first and last time...Drinks are overpriced and you get ZERO value for your buck, come on, I don't wanna get a glass full of ice. Might as well go to Walgreens across the street and buy a bag of ice and enjoy. Friday night and the place is empty, empty, empty, cuz no one wants to go to this crap hole. The bottom line is, its not worth your money and time. Who is gonna give me my 2 hours of my life back now? Lastly, paying $5 cover to get in is just ridiculous for this *h... read more
