Motel 6 is a chain that provides basic needs at an affordable price. This particular one had a wonderful staff, great housekeeping and nice sized rooms. The title says it all: "Better than most". I was satisfied

If your looking for a place to sleep, not get a spa package, a restaurant, business center, weight room yadda, yadda, yadda then this is the place to stay. Room is B-A-S-I-C but comfortable and clean. We use this hotel for a drive from Nebraska to the Univ. of Minnesota to see our daughter. We use this place for one thing: to sleep! This is my first stay at this Motel 6. The location is a little hard to find, but well worth it. I travel for work and stay in a motel most nights. I'm not gonna pay an extra 20-30 bucks for a free shampoo! If you work for a living and know the value of a dollar, this is the place for you. Clean and comfortable!

This was the friendliest staff I've experienced in a long time - very welcoming. Easy check-in and checkout. We have a large, well mannered dog and the pet friendly aspect is true to the advertising. It is very basic and very clean - perfect for us! I wouldn't have minded a clock in the room. Wi-fi was a small ($2.99) price.

I stopped here last night and I was pleasantly surprised the rooms are very nice and well kept. I'm not a Motel 6 fan, but if they were all like this one, I would change my mind. I slept well as the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and modern, great shower. No shampoo in the room, so bring your own. The Internet is available but at an extra charge. I'm used to having shampoo, internet and breakfast in the morning, but McDonalds is just a short walk away. The highway noise is not too bad. I rate this mote... read more

Great stay for the money. Was quiet and clean. Could have used a frig and was disappointed that WiFi was extra. Otherwise the pool was refreshing, clean and in great shape and the accommodations were comfortable but simple.

We made reservations for 2 nights at $59.95 + tax and paid $239.Advantages, relatively near iowa State Fair grounds. I THINK we were put into a room for people with special needs (special car park directly in front of room, hard floors (easy wheelchair access), wide bathroom door, spacious tiles bathroom floors, no shower curtains, railings etc). So in this case, whoever the room is catered to, these are worth considering. Bed was fairly comfortable enough.

Just checked in last night and good thing we were able to do instant booking over the phone which we're about to check-in in two hours just to stay overnight. This motel is a good place to rest after a very tiring day on the road. The price is $49.99 which is not bad. There were two queen beds which is spacious. I find the bed quite comfortable

We needed an inexpensive motel room for the first night of a longer visit to West Des Moines, and this location fit the bill perfectly. Easy access from I-80. I had checked out the map beforehand, so the fact that the motel is tucked away behind a Marriott and a Candlewood Suites wasn't a problem. We didn't arrive until 3:30am local time, and I was a little worried what we might find at that hour. But all my fears were allayed the moment I entered the lobby.
