No matter where we are going, when we are driving up the 101, Mortenson's bakery is the one destination for us
I absolutely love this place and I come here every time that I'm in Solvang. I had to pick up another box of the Chocolate Buttercreams....Mmmm

A friend told me that the butter ring was a must, so my husband Richard and I tried it. There are no words I can come up with to explain the complexity, yet yummy simpleness. It was delicious. Pistachio bar, rum ball, macaroon, and chocolate buttercream outstanding. This is a place you have to visit.
