Go here every time I'm in California!! The Danish are to die for!
Best. Danish. Waffle. Ever. Really, everything is delicious and they are always nice and helpful, but the Danish waffle is to die for.
We stop here when we're in town. Love pastry and friendly service. Lots of yummy selection.
Tried to get à discount if I ordered in Swedish but that was not possible. The "fika" was very nice anyway.
The vanilla macaroons are amazing.

Had a absolutely scrumptious chocolate eclair, filled with custard, whipped cream and raspberry, topped with yummy chocolate! What a treat!!! Also brought home an apple strudel--everyone loved it! Will definitely go back on my next visit!
Undoubtably the best bakery in Solvang (I tried them all), and seemingly the only one that springs for real butter. Thanks for making quality products.
There's nothing Sideways about Mortensen's. Everything you see pops out as being an inviting, fresh, clean destination for Danish pastries and home made food. The staff is welcoming and attentive and when driving along the PCH coast road I make it a point to stop in.
