While visiting in Newark,CA from Township of Tiny, ON it was on our bucket list to visit Morimoto Napa and as it happened we did it on our 12th anniversary. Fabulous lunch with a great sake and we finished with a gelato, ok that was next door. Thank you, and please do try and open a Morimoto Toronto

Party of 8. Tasting menu. Food was interesting & fresh. Waiter was excellent. Our table was crazy big and it was super noisy. No way to converse. It took 3-5 servers around the tell us what we were being served. And 4 hours later we wrapped up. Too many servings prior to the final ultimate serving. Will only do sushi next time.

Really nice decor, the Napa themed dried up grape vines on the walls result in a great ornament. They also close late, fantastic at a time where most other places were already closed, Sunday at 10 pm. We had the hamachi 🌮, perfection in an appetizer so tangy amd tasteful, highly recommended. Then the grilled octopus, great taste but a bit rubbery, a bit overcoked but not enough to send it back. The pork gyoza was not good, strange presentation full with a tasteless foam an no kick. We closed with a NY strip to share, amazin... read more

Not impressed. Food was on the cold side, when it was supposed to be cooking in the stone bowl it was being served in. The service was slow and the busyboy came to our table to engage in bizarre conversation.

I was expecting exceptional, and was very let down. Don't get me wrong the food was good, but not Iron Chef quality. I've had better sushi at hole in the wall sushi places in Davis and Oakland. The Duck Duck Goose was the best thing I had, but the main reason I didn't enjoy was the service. It was so unbelievably slow, and the restaurant was half empty, just like my feelings about my experience.

Horrible service! Thought we would try going back for a second time, nope terrible hospitality! The food isn't that great to deal with poor service and waiting and hour just to sit, with a reservation!

We tried a little bit of everything on the menu to get a sampling of the food. The pork belly hot appetizer and the octopus were great. We also had the buri bop, which was fantastic. I was really underwhelmed with the sushi though. I expected great things, especially given it's Morimoto. It was just not good. Really disappointed in that. Otherwise, our service was good. We weren't pressured to eat and get out the door, which I appreciate.
