On a ride from Boise to SLC i got hungry while getting gas. Consulted google restaurants near me and saw Moreys Steakhouse. Glad I went, beautiful Indian summer day I ate out in the patio overlooking the Snake river. Service and steak were both awesome. I dont usually write reviews but had a great experience as a traveler and highly recommend this respite for a long drive.
Food was great all in all. The pickle chips were NOT good. My husband had to send his steak back for being undercooked and when it was brought back it was still undercooked but he ate it and it was good. We were however surprised with a check for over $200 because there was a 15% gratuity added to our bill. We have NO problem tipping but when it's added to our bill without us being notified prior to ordering then it doesn't make us very happy. Food is usually good here one of my favorite places, the staff has always been very friendly. Tonight I was very suprised the steaks were cold as were the loaded mashed potatoes. Not sure what was going on will probably not go back for awhile.
I guess if you come here on a Monday people just don't care. Under cooked steak cold baked potato. I'm still paying full price, I should still get the service as I would on the weekend. Super disappointed.
Sometimes it's good sometimes it's not you never know what you're going to get when they go in there.
My husbands steak was raw had to send it back. Onions on my steak were also raw. Won't be back.
