Update: Do not go unless you have incredible insurance. Even with insurance, I am over $1,000 out of pocket for TWO appointments. So ridiculous!! Dang, I wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my time and money as well. I did not have a good experience here. On the positive side, the techs are great and the equipment they have for testing seems top of the line. However, the doctor I was assigned to was not great. I’ve had consistently frustrating experiences with the Moran Eye Center at multiple locations. My first experience was at the South Jordan location a little over a year ago. During my appointment, I was told that my vision had gotten substantially worse and that my contact prescription needed to be changed. However, when my contacts finally arrived, the prescription actually suggested that my vision had improved rather than worsened. I have been going here for years now and every year it has gotten worse and worse as far as customers service and being seen. Most recently I haven't been seeing the doctor I have been scheduled with. I was told I was covered by insurance and later found out I was not. I have spent about 4 hours plus and 2 appointments to not get what I needed done, and I'm still in limbo. Typically in the past it take 1 appointment to handle everything. Had cataract surgery on both eyes with Dr. Pitha. 10/10. Absolutely life-changing. Recommended to my wife that she develop cataracts immediately. There is something wonderfully absurd about a medical procedure being so successful that your reaction is basically, “Everybody needs to get this disease.”
