My family moved our mom into Morada Meadow Lakes, following on the heels of some friends of hers who also moved there from the same assisted living facility. Everything about Morada was superior! What impressed us the most was how everyone at Morada, residents AND staff, seemed to be so much happier than at either of Mom's last two residences. Morada Meadow Lakes has incompetent management and insubordinate staff. They are completely incapable of spotting even the most obvious signs of elder abuse. If abuse is uncovered, they are unwilling to report it. There is virtually no security. There are no cameras, there is no visitors log, and despite what the on-hold message says, there are no recordings of phone calls. Well... I have lived at Meadow Lakes for nearly 15 years! Needless to say, I enjoy living here or I would have moved. I really like to meet new friends as they come and go. We have lot's of fun. (well..most of us do) It is home to me and I really enjoy the trips we make in our bus and our van. When there is no more covid to worry about, I am sure we will get back to having more outings. We even have transportation to markets, banks, doctors, etc. as needed. I wouldn't want to go back to living by myself in a house someplace.... read more
